ABOUT THE WORK
Unknown Woman began with the image of an unidentified young woman whose presence remained with the artist. Through self-portraiture, darkness, erasure and fragmentation, Ami Ramezani explores the threshold between presence and disappearance, individual memory and collective grief. Faces emerge only partially, becoming fragile traces of lives that remain present yet unseen.
